Rick Santorum Wisconsin Ad Buy Doubles In Size

Santorum's Allied Super PAC Doubles Down In Wisconsin

A pro-Rick Santorum Super PAC announced Thursday that it was more than doubling its original ad buy in Wisconsin.

The Red, White, and Blue Fund is spending $360,000 to buy more television ads in Milwaukee and Green Bay and get on the airwaves in Madison, Wausau and Lacrosse, the Washington Post reported. The spending is in addition to an initial ad buy of about $300,000.

The super PAC recently released a 39-page memo charting what it argues is a viable path for Santorum to catch up to Romney in the delegate race.

Santorum is campaigning hard in Wisconsin, but he has had a mixed outlook on his ability to win the state, telling reporters he didn't think he would before walking back the statement.

Wisconsin's primary is April 3.
