Rihanna And Anne Hathaway Reportedly Join All-Star Squad For 'Ocean's Eight'

Didn't she tell you she's a savage?

The movie industry dealt some bad news for female-led films after a report suggested it’s unlikely we’ll see another “Ghostbusters” film. But now, some good news. According to Deadline Hollywood, both Rihanna and Anne Hathaway are in negotiations to join the cast of “Ocean’s Eight,” the all-female reboot of the popular “Ocean’s Eleven” franchise.

Sources say Rihanna has just one thing to say to the movie industry:

Other stars reportedly attached to the Warner Bros. project ― initially called “Ocean’s Ocho” ― include Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling, making this cast equally as star-studded as the George Clooney version. (The 2001 hit featured Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, among others.)

Steven Soderbergh, of “Magic Mike” and the original “Ocean’s” fame, is set to produce, and Gary Ross, who wrote and directed the first “Hunger Games” movie, will direct.

The original film, itself a remake of the 1960 original, followed a gang of thieves who ingeniously plotted to pull off an impossible heist in Las Vegas ― though arguably the best part of the plot was seeing Brad Pitt’s character Rusty eating something in almost every scene.

“Ocean’s Eleven” is largely regarded as one of the greatest uses of an ensemble cast in film. The all-star actresses linked to the reboot “Ocean’s Eight” will surely be no exception.

Only one questions remains: Will Julia Roberts, who starred in “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ocean’s Twelve,” surprise us with a cameo?
