Rihanna cancelled her upcoming show in Nice after the city suffered a major terror attack on Thursday.

The “Work” singer was due to perform at the city’s Allianz Stadium as part of her “Anti World Tour” on Friday night.

The star’s representatives confirmed to Billboard that she was in the city preparing for the concert as the Bastille Day attack unfurled, and that “she’s safe.” Scores of people were killed after a truck crashed into a crowd celebrating the annual holiday.

Rihanna paid tribute to victims in an Instagram post.

”Due to the tragic events in Nice, my concerted scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned,” she posted. “Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

Christian Estrosi, the current President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur and the former Mayor of Nice, confirmed the cancelation of the concert via Twitter early Friday.

Tomorrow the flags of the city will be at half mast,” he posted. “After the cancellation of the Rihanna concert, the jazz festival is canceled.”
