Recently I wrote a Huffington Post article about a wire transfer I tried to make from my Bank of America account to my Credit Suisse account: Bank of America Wire Transfer: Lost in Space! . To my surprise, this Huffington Post article has been picked up by hundreds of other media outlets: New York Times , USA Today , NPR , LA Times , etc.
It's going on two weeks now and this Bank of America wire transfer debacle has still not been fully resolved. I have sent numerous detailed emails to Bank of America via my online secured bank account. I have also sent a few emails directly to the office of Bank of America CEO Brian T. Moynihan (brian.t.moynihan@bankofamerica.com).
U.S. financial reform is entering a crucial phase as House and Senate negotiators begin public debate on the regulation of derivatives, the complex instruments at the heart of the global financial crisis. In light of these debates on Capitol Hill, perhaps we can assist our elected public servants by supplying more data as to why we need serious financial reform now. We can also tell our elected officials that we demand a Consumer Protection Agency that will protect us from bank scams and rip offs!
