Thursday's New York Times Style section wonders who is Romona Keveza -- a question we, too, have been asking since the Golden Globes, when her name came up as the wardrobe credit for not one, not two, but three frocks -- those worn by Julia Stiles, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Christina Hendricks.
The trio wasn't the first to shove Keveza into the style spotlight. The designer dressed Lea Michele at the 2010 Grammys, although the "Glee" star couldn't quite remember Keveza's name.
But it turns out that Lithuanian-Canadian Keveza has been in the biz for years. According to the newspaper, she opened her first store, La Maison, with $15,000 of her own money in 1986 and started to focus on her own designs three years later. Keveza's known mainly for her wedding gowns, available at Saks and Neiman Marcus, priced from $3,000 all the way up to $35,000.
She told the Times, "I'm not a flash in the pan," adding, "I have always wanted to do a big runway show for New York Fashion Week. All these years, and I've never done that. But it's expensive, so we'll have to weigh all our options. I'm in it for the long haul. I'm more the tortoise than the hare."

In it, Keveza talks about dressing Queen Latifah, remarking, "Not all women are size 2. We have a lot of big, beautiful, voluptuous women and she looks fantastic in everything she wears, so to dress her is wonderful." We totes agree.
