WATCH: Marine Surprises His Kids After Returning From Afghanistan -- And Everyone Cries

Marine Gunnery Sgt. Ronald Clement's kids had a very emotional day at school Thursday when he surprised them with his unexpected return from Afghanistan.

"His 12-year-old daughter was shocked, his 9-year-old son was stunned, and everyone -- everyone -- in the school was sobbing," said CNN's John Berman of the surprise reunion.

According to CBS Los Angeles, Clement, who had not been expected home from his five-month deployment for another six weeks, was in cahoots with his wife and the school's staff to keep his return secret from his children.

And boy, were they ever surprised.

Clement's daughter, Jayda, burst into happy tears when she laid eyes on her dad. The young woman reportedly walked on stage in front of her peers expecting her principal to deliver her honor roll certificate, when her dad walked out from the wings, enveloping her a huge hug.

“You’re making me cry, stop,” Clement, who later surprised his son in a classroom, told her.
