'RuPaul's Dragcon' Packs Los Angeles Convention Center

Thousands Turn Out For The First Annual 'RuPaul's Dragcon'

Almost 14,000 people packed the Los Angeles Convention Center for "RuPaul's Dragcon," which RuPaul and World of Wonder Productions collaboratively put on May 16-17. Billed as the first drag queen convention in history, "RuPaul's Dragcon" brought together queens from all seven seasons of "RuPaul's Drag Race" to meet fans and ki ki throughout the weekend.

"A lot of people just feel really impacted and inspired by drag in ways that I don't think we, as self-absorbed drag queens, think about that often," season five winner Jinkx Monsoon says in the above video. "So it's always nice to be reaffirmed that we do more than just put on a dress and act like a bunch of assholes."

World of Wonder caught all of the action in a video that gets up close and personal with a number of the girls. Check it out above or head here for more photos of the event.
