Rush Limbaugh: 'Might Help' Ratings 'If Joy Behar And Jennifer Granholm Wear Burqas and Veils' (AUDIO)

LISTEN: Limbaugh's Outrageous Comments

Rush Limbaugh had one question about Current TV's sale to Al Jazeera on Thursday: will female hosts Joy Behar and Jennifer Granholm have to wear burqas and veils now that the channel is owned by the Qatar-based news network?

"Does this mean that Joy Behar and Jennifer Granholm are now going to have to wear burqas and veils over their faces?" Limbaugh wondered. "If they do it might help, actually, to raise audience levels. Burqas and veils on their faces—it could help! Never know."

Limbaugh repeated the comment more than once. He added that he has never watched Al Jazeera and "has only seen individual reports." He also joined a chorus of conservative critics and railed against Gore for wanting to get the deal done before the end of 2012 to avoid higher taxes. "See all of these Democrats that talk about the moral value of paying higher taxes, when presented the option, never do it. They always go for the lowest," he said.

Al Jazeera will be turning the channel into Al Jazeera America, based in New York. Sources familiar with the deal told the New York Times that the majority of its content will be created in the U.S.
