'Valentine's Day Propaganda' Released By #Cheerstosochi And Anna Goodson Illustration Agency

A Heartwarming Valentine For LGBT Russians

With the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics underway and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Russians still subject to a pervasive climate of fear and violence, a group of people has come together to let this community know that they are loved this valentines day.

Called the Worldwide Valentine's Day Propaganda, this video features an incredible body of illustrations from the Anna Goodson Illustration Agency, and is produced in association with the #Cheerstosochi campaign spearheaded by Scott Wooledge. HuffPost Gay Voices previously brought you these incredible illustrations from the Anna Goodson Illustration Agency's "Art Speaks Louder Than Words" campaign that seeks to display solidarity with the Russian LGBT community.

"Iconic American illustrator Norman Rockwell used his own considerable talents to chronicle the Civil Rights struggle in the 1960s," Wooledge told The Huffington Post. "Anna Goodson likewise has rallied her talented team to leverage the often underrated power of art to influence politics and create social change. Cheers to team Goodson for generously sharing their beautiful expressions of love with the world."

Wooledge's efforts as an activist have been instrumental in bringing visibility to the plight of Russia's LGBT community surrounding the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. His previous endeavors have included reclaiming the #CheersToSochi hashtag itself from McDonalds, a corporate sponsor of the Games, and the terrifying "Hunger Games: Sochi" video campaign.
