To Samantha Bee, the key takeaway from Britain's Brexit vote must be that Donald Trump gets dumped in spectacular style this fall.
"While the Brits were waking up in the ruins of their nation, and saying 'Oh God, what have we done?' a lot of Americans were looking over and saying 'Oh God, what are we about to do?'" the "Full Frontal host" said on Monday.
First, Bee explained how the UK vote to leave the European Union was driven by "angry, less educated, older white voters who feel screwed by globalization and the establishment, and have been fed a chip butty of xenophobia slathered in slogan sauce." Then she showed how the rhetoric that emanated from the "Vote Leave" team sounded worryingly similar to the presumptive GOP nominee's campaign.
One unsavory outcome of the Brexit vote was a reported spike in hate crimes against minorities, which Bee said was why it was "not enough for Trump to lose" the election.
"It has to be a fucking landslide."
