Seabourn's Sojourn Cruise Ship Sets Sail

Let's hope this is a new trend in cruise travel: the Yachts of Seabourn, a Miami-based company, will launch their newest ship, Sojourn, from London on June 20th.

What sets the Sojourn apart is, unlike the other 650 foot long boats out there, it has a capacity of only 450 passengers. The boat has 225 Ocean Suites (90% of which have private verandas), five Owner's Suites, four 2-bedroom suites and 22 Penthouse suites, not to mention that one of the four restaurants has a menu by Charlie Palmer.

The boat will start trips from Dover, England and Copenhagen to destinations in the Baltic, Scandinavia and even Western Europe for $4,999 per person (a relative steal in comparison to the amount of space you get) this summer. For those who are skeptical about being crammed like sardines onto a boat with 2,000 other people, this boat might just be the breath of fresh air the cruise industry needs.
