Sen. Bennet Releases Another Anti-Washington Ad (VIDEO)

For the second time in his tight primary race, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) is going up on air with an ad that casts him as a combatant of Washington, D.C.

The freshmen Colorado Democrat, who is facing a primary challenge from former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, released a spot on Friday that may as well be titled "a tale of two Washingtons."

There is the malevolent nation's capitol -- where the "special interests have too much power" and the system is "broken." And then there is Washington County, Colorado, where families are simply "looking for ways to get by."

The ad is the second reform-D.C. spot (here's the first) that Bennet has run in his home state; and it clearly reflects the tactical decision by the campaign to cast the candidate as an outsider in this anti-incumbent year. An aide to the Senate said the two ads will run in a two-week rotation at a cost of $335,000.
