Sex Over 50: Responding To A Date Who Expects Sex 300 Days A Year

Huff Post Live recently tackled the topic of midlife sex, based on, who wrote about being fixed up with a man named Fred described as the "catch of the century." After the third date, Fred told her that when in a relationship, "he expected to have sex 300 times a year," and this was why he had recently broken up with his fiancee.

"I'm having the best sex I've ever had in my 67 years," Solin added.

Terri Jay said sexual compatibility is key. "I would like that guy's number truthfully," she said, "because I have run into dating guys who are in their late 60s and it's like, 'oh that's not ever going to happen' and it's like, 'no thank you that's not what I'm interested in, I want the whole package.'"

Eleanore Wells appreciated Fred's honesty early in the relationship, noting that she doesn't waste time dating the wrong person anymore. "I'm definitely better at dating and knowing when to move on as I've gotten older," said Wells. "The beauty of having dated for a long time is you sort of learn yourself and ... what works in relationships and what doesn't. So I don't spend a whole lot of time on stupid things anymore because I don't have that fantasy that I can fix it anymore."
