Sheryl Crow Brain Tumor: Singer Reveals She Has Benign Brain Tumor

Sheryl Crow Has Benign Brain Tumor

Sheryl Crow has revealed that she has a benign brain tumor. In an interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the 50-year-old singer-songwriter admitted that she went to see a doctor in November because of rampant memory loss before discovering the growth. "I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor," Crow said, adding that she had forgotten the lyrics to "Soak Up the Sun" once while performing.

She joked: "I'm 50, what can I say? My brain's gone to (expletive)."

It is unknown whether Crow had or will have surgery to remove the tumor, though fans can rest assured that Crow is getting along just fine (especially after running her first half-marathon). "It's benign, so I don't have to worry about it. But it gives me a fit," she told the publication.

This isn't the first health scare for the nine-time Grammy winner: In 2006, Crow beat breast cancer, after undergoing minimally invasive surgery and radiation therapy. Crow is the mother of two adopted boys, Wyatt Steven and Levi James.
