'Sleepy Hollow' Premiere On Fox: Stars And Producers Talk 'Insane' New Time-Traveling, Literary-Twisting Show (VIDEO)

'Sleepy Hollow' Is Insane -- In A Good Way!

"Sleepy Hollow" (premieres Mon., Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox) is coming to TV -- but not in any way you've ever seen it.

In the video above, HuffPost TV caught up with stars Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Katia Winter and Orlando Jones, and producers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and director Len Wiseman, to preview this time-traveling, literature-twisting, cop drama take on the classic story.

"The headless horseman is truly the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the crazy that's happening in that town," Kurtzman said. And he's not kidding. There are people dying, people coming back to life, the threat of the apocalypse ... it's insane.

"You're right. It's insane," Mison agreed. "In a very good way."

But in all that insanity, is there room for a little romance? "I think that they're fighting demons -- it's kind of a full-time job," Beharie said, shutting down questions about a possible romantic storyline with Mison's time-traveling Ichabod Crane. "If anything's a mood killer, it's a six-foot-three man with an axe running at you," Mison said with a laugh. "With no head!" Beharie added wryly.

So yes, they're fighting the four horseman of the apocalypse, all while Crane is searching for his wife, who is a witch stuck in purgatory, and the fate of the world is in their hands?

"Any time you can save the world from the apocalypse, I recommend it, personally," Jones said.
