Oh March. This month is about Easter and it being almost spring. It's about discovering new songs and listening to old ones too, right?

Okay, maybe that's just me. My very own version of spring cleaning in terms of music...I mean almost spring cleaning. Whatever.

Anyway, here are my song crushes for March (including my favorite lyrics from each song):

1. "Heart Attack" - Demi Lovato

Oh my gosh. I'm legitimately (perhaps I'll even say legit) obsessed with this song. This is the perfect song for everyone out there who is falling in love with someone, but is absolutely wishing that they weren't. In an interview with MTV, Lovato said that the song is about "falling in love and taking that risk" and about how everyone gets "very vulnerable in falling in love."

This isn't the Trey Songz song or the One Direction song of the same name, but like those songs, Lovato's "Heart Attack" is fantastic. Since Lovato's previous single was called "Give Your Heart a Break," I really think Lovato should just not do anything which would be damaging to her heart in the future. Just saying.

Favorite lyric: "You make me glow/But I cover up/Won't let it show/So I'm putting my defenses up/'Cause I don't want to fall in love/If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attack."

2. "My Love" - Justin Timberlake (featuring T.I.)

Since (the gorgeous) Justin Timberlake is basically confirming that he's one of the most talented people in the entire world right now with everything that he's doing, I've been listening to songs from his upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience, as well as classics like this one.

If you're like me, I have to listen to the end of the medley beforehand (if you're listening to this in order on the album) before "My Love" starts like it's mandatory! With JT hosting SNL recently and his hilarious week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last week (Timberweek!) along with listening to his music, I've pretty much been on Timberlake overload lately...which isn't a bad thing at all.

Favorite lyric: "If I told you you were beautiful/Would you date me on the regular (tell me, would you?)/Well, baby I've been around the world/But I ain't seen myself another girl (like you)."

3. "Everything Is Embarrassing" by Sky Ferreira

First of all, I'm like obsessed with Sky Ferreira right now. Secondly, for everyone out there who put their utmost effort into a relationship while the other person didn't, this is the song for you. When it's all over and the relationship ends, you then realize that, as the song says, everything that could have been your anything, now is just embarrassing.

Favorite lyric: "Say I tried to give my best before/You wouldn't have the chance to give me more/You're only one step closer to the door."

4. "All of the Lights" - Kanye West (feat. Rihanna, Kid Cudi and a bunch of other people)

One of the oldies (you know what I mean) that's still a goodie. Not only is like everyone involved with this song, including Alicia Keys, The-Dream, John Legend, Fergie, Elton John, Elly Jackson (of La Roux), and Drake, but this song is simply so good.

Favorite lyric: "Turn up the lights in here baby/Extra bright, I want y'all to see this/Turn up the lights in here baby/You know what I need/Want you to see everything/Want you to see all of the lights."

5. "Girls" - Marina and the Diamonds

Along with "Primadonna," one of my favorite songs by Marina and the Diamonds is this gem from her debut album, The Family Jewels (see what I did there?). This song basically describes how every girl is and how every girl views each other and themselves.

Although we gossip about each other, compare ourselves to each other and we all love Mean Girls and Gossip Girl like they're portraying our lives, can't us girls just all like get along?

Favorite lyric: "Girls are not meant to fight dirty/Never look a day past thirty."

6. "Break The Ice" - Britney Spears

I can't have a playlist without the legendary Miss Britney Spears on it, right? What I love about this song is that it's not one of her well-known top hits. Along with that fun fact, this song, from her album Blackout, is energetic and will have you dancing like crazy, especially if you're with (or thinking about) a girl or guy that you're majorly crushing on right now.

Favorite lyric: "You got me hypnotized/I never felt this way/Got my heart beating like an 808."

7. "Take On Me" - a-ha

One of the greatest songs and music videos ever. Enough said.

Favorite lyric: "We're talking away/I don't know what I'm to say/I'll say it anyway/Today's another day to find you/Shying away/I'll be coming for your love, okay?"

8. "Africa" - Toto

Another amazing '80s song. Another amazing '80s music video.

Favorite lyric: "It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you/There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do/I bless the rains down in Africa/Gonna take some time to do the things we never have." (The chorus is just so good).

Bonus! Watch Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon as BFFs at summer camp singing "Africa" during Timberweek after the jump. You're welcome.

That was definitely a less girly playlist than last month (although I'll always be a girly girl, so that will never change)!
