Get ready for the new buzz that expects to reshape how people see trees.

Artist Stacy Poitras of Calabasas is slated to make his television debut on Country Music Television on Saturday, Nov. 10, with the season premiere of "Chainsaw Gang."

The show aims to spotlight Poitras and his "rag-tag bunch" of chain-saw artists as they "battle blades breaking, chainsaws bursting into flames" and each others' egos, according to CMT.

"When I tell people I have a reality show they automatically go, 'Oh, like 'The Kardashians.' But no, that's not it at all because they're being filmed doing nothing. We're actually doing something," Poitras said.

"I'm exposing an art form that most people on Earth had no idea existed."

Poitras, who has wielded a chain saw for nearly 30 years as his artistic paintbrush of choice, owns Deadwood Tree Sculptures in Agoura Hills where he and his team turn tree trunks into everything from coyotes to bears and even people.

"I can't give specifics of what we're carving, but people will cry with laughter," Poitras said. "They'll also actually cry with inspiration when they see some of the things I've carved."

Other cast members include Rio de

Jarmett of Agoura Hills. The chain-saw artist owns Malibu Mountain Gallery and has known Poitras for 15 years back when Poitras used to carve at the gallery.

"We've joined forces and I've been all in," de Jarmett said, laughing. "We've been having a good time."

The CMT crew started shooting the show in late July and wrapped up the season Nov. 2.

The 10-show series begins Saturday night at 10 p.m.
