WATCH: Colbert Discusses China's Aviation Future With James Fallows

Stephen Colbert welcomed James Fallows onto The Report on Tuesday night to discuss Atlantic National Correspondent's new book China Airborne, which explores the massive growth of the Chinese aerospace industry and the future of travel in the world's most populous nation.

According to Fallows, Chinese airlines are expected to triple their fleet size over the next ten years even as the country scrambles to build enough airports to keep up with the growing demand for both domestic and international flights. In typical Chinese style, this growing field has led to development on the ground, especially in the city of Xi'an, which is now home to more than 250,000 engineers and workers employed in service of rapid expansion.
