"Were the Impressionists fashionistas? And what role did fashion play in their goal to paint modern life with a 'modern style?" Those were the questions Gloria Groom sought to answer when she first had the idea for Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity, the new exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Groom, a curator at the Art Institute, stopped by The Interview Show, hosted by Mark Bazer, to talk about art, fashion and the City of Light in the 19th century.

(Taped June 7, 2013, at The Hideout, in Chicago).
