Tennessee Election Results 2012 MAP: Presidential, Senate And House Winners (REAL-TIME MAP)

LOOK: Tennessee Election Results MAP

Below you can find the Tennesee election results for the 2012 presidential election and the state's Senate and House races.

The state typically has more conservative leanings, though in 1992 and 1996 it cast its electoral votes for Bill Clinton. Al Gore's nomination for vice president likely helped propel Clinton to victory, as Gore was previously a senator for the Volunteer State. However, Gore was unable to win the state while running for president in 2000, according to 270towin.com.

With the exception of Democratic hold-outs near Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee was a strong Republican state in 2008, with GOP presidential candidate John McCain taking over 60 percent of the vote.

Tennessee also hosted a Senate race this year, though it seemed unlikely that Republican Bob Corker would be unseated. The entire campaign became a bit of an embarrassment when Democrat Mark Clayton, the vice president of Public Advocate USA -- a conservative advocacy organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled a "hate group" -- won the Democratic nomination.
