While things continued to unravel at the hideaway where Emma, Jacob and Paul have Clare's son, Ryan found himself at the mercy of another member of "The Following." After the death of her husband, Maggie went completely unhinged and decided to make Ryan suffer as she has suffered.
Once she had him in hand, though, she revealed that she really wanted to make his sister suffer. She'd gotten Ryan to put himself at her mercy by kidnapping his sister. Once she had him, though, she decided that killing his sister would be too easy.
"I’m not gonna kill her," Maggie told Ryan. "The psychological damage of watching her brother die? Bound to leave a leave a few scars."
Luckily, Mike came on the scene just in time to shoot Maggie and save Ryan and his sister in the nick of time.
Meanwhile, at the love bungalow, it came out that Paul had never actually killed anyone. So Emma decided he should kill the innocent woman that Jacob had kidnapped. Only Paul couldn't bring himself to do it and instead let her go. That didn't work out so well, though, as the other two simply recaptured her. Will her torture ever end?
