'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson': Jason Lee On Getting Fit, Skateboarding (VIDEO)

Jason Lee Talks Getting Fit, Skateboarding With Son

There's no secret to Jason Lee's slimmed down physique, apparently. On "The Late Late Show" (Weeknights, 12:37 a.m. EST on CBS), he cited cutting out beer and donuts and exercise as the solution to his weight gain of recent years.

"I dropped 35 pounds and got fit," he said. "I gave up a lot of junk and I started running ... like Forrest Gump."

Being in better shape has helped him with another passion as well. He's long been an avid skateboarding enthusiast and certainly being slimmer and more fit helps him with such a demanding sport. Now, he gets to act as teacher as well as participant. Lee has begun sharing his love of skateboarding with his son.

"Now my son is doing it, so I got to pass it onto him, which has been very cool," he said.

Lee can currently be seen on the silver screen in the poorly reviewed "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked." He can also be seen in a recurring role on "Up All Night," airing on its new night, Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. EST starting Jan. 12.
