'The Railway Man' Trailer: Colin Firth & Nicole Kidman Star In New Prestige Drama

First Look At 'The Railway Man' With Nicole Kidman & Colin Firth

"The Railway Man," a new drama starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth, debuted at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. While the film does not yet have a U.S. distributor, Lionsgate UK is set to unveil "The Railway Man" on Jan. 3 of 2014, and the studio released the film's first trailer on Tuesday. Firth stars as a former prisoner of war during World War II ("War Horse" star Jeremy Irvine plays Firth's character as a younger man), who seeks revenge on his worst oppressor (played by former "Lost" star Hiroyuki Sanada). Reviews for "The Railway Man" were mixed after the film's Toronto bow, (critics at THR and Variety were not fans; The Guardian's critic, however, was) but the trailer looks promising, especially Kidman, who stars as Firth's understanding wife.
