If you’re serious about quitting your job, you need a harsh truth rather than a beautiful lie!

It’s a new year, and that means that you get a fresh start towards obtaining wealth! While some people may still be caught up in the celebration, this is your time to shift your mindset and push yourself to your next level! The mindset shift starts when you begin to realize that what you’ve been taught about money is all wrong! The truth hurts, but it will set you free, and the truth is that you’ve been lied to about money! Nobody in this world has a money problem; the problem lies in what you’ve been taught about money! If you’re truly looking into working for yourself and entrepreneurship, you need to know the truth about quitting your job! Read on below for more!

1. You do not need a job to make money!

The Good Book tells you to work in order to make money, but that doesn’t mean that you need a job in order to do so! That’s the biggest lie that you’ve been told from a very young age; you need a job to make good money. That couldn’t be anything further from the truth! I myself had a good paying six-figure job, and I was finally able to leave it behind and make even more money! Plenty of my clients were also able to do the same, and now work for themselves making more money than they thought possible! You can earn money, but you do not have to go to a job that you hate to do it!

2. You can’t quit overnight!

Too many people get caught up in the new energy of the new year; things are getting off to a great start, and then they come to a halt! You cannot get discouraged because you can’t quit your job right away; Rome wasn’t built in a night, and neither is your next level! When it came to quitting my job and starting my business, a lot of aspects of my business came into fruition because I got them while at my job! A business takes money, marketing, branding, and a lot more! While you still work at your job, it’s an excellent time to build your exit plan! It will take you at least a year of hard work and focus in order to properly quit your job! I can want it for you, but you have to want this even more for yourself!

3. You need a profit plan!

If you’ve gotten this far, you realize that you can quit your job and start a business. One of the most important things that you can have on the road to entrepreneurship is a profit plan! It’s as simple as having a plan to generate revenue! If you don’t have a profit plan, you’re not in business, simple as that! Don’t expect to launch a product and immediately make six figures! You have to build up to the big revenue from one product! It takes time, and it takes a profit plan!

4. You’ll need a team-driven plan!

It’s as straightforward as it sounds; you need a team! If you could build a business by yourself, you would have done so already! The most successful entrepreneurs didn’t get to where they are by themselves, and it is no different for you! Figure out what your strengths are, and then build a team that fills in on your weaknesses!

5. You’ll need accountability and execution!

To further expand on the previous point, accountability and execution go hand in hand, but you can’t do that by yourself! Network with others and get accountability partners; if you say that you’ll do something, have someone that will check and see if you follow through on it! That’s the execution aspect! Everybody makes a New Year’s resolution; execute and follow through on what you set out to do! Don’t just talk about what will happen; execute and put your plans into motion!

The truth of the matter is that quitting your job and starting a business is not easy. If you do things properly, you won’t have to work as hard as you think! The end goal is to quit your job and start a business the right way; you don’t have to work a job to earn money, and you don’t need the threat of a job to keep you from moving to your next level!
