'The Vow' Tops Box Office At $41.7 Million Even Though We All Know True Love Is A Farce

'The Vow' Did Well At The Box Office Even Though We All Know True Love Is A Farce

Apparently there's a new love movie out starring Rachel McAdams, and everyone is racing to go see it like a pack of lemmings. The whole big thing about it is that McAdams' character loses her memory somehow, and her husband, played by Channing Tatum, loves her anyway. It's something we've never seen before which is why everyone is rushing to do so.

Oh excuse me. The above Youtube video titled "Losing Your Memory" just proved me wrong. Rachel McAdams lost her memory in "The Notebook" and Ryan Gosling loved her anyway and blah blah blah love transcends class. So why did more people go see "The Vow" in its first weekend than they did any other movie all year? I'll tell you why. Because girls who look like Rachel McAdams even only slightly and in a certain light are dangerous. They'll convince you of all sorts of impossibilities: like that love exists, and you should pay $15 to go see a movie about it, and also that they'll be with you forever, and not that they'll tell your best friend he's photogenic every time she sees him. Thanks a lot Lindsay. The one thing they won't do by the way is lose their memory and be nice every once in a while.
