Thomas Friedman On Copenhagen: Columnist Weighs In On Climate Change Conference (VIDEO)

According to Thomas Friedman, last week's climate change conference in Copenhagen was an "unprecedented breakdown," not an "unprecedented breakthrough," as described by President Obama.

The New York Times columnist weighed in on Copenhagen during an appearance Monday night on The Rachel Maddow Show.

Friedman was critical of the atmosphere at the conference and said that countries ("particularly... the U.S. and China"), were wary of making concessions that would give competitors an economic advantage. He argued that a good energy bill from the U.S. could inspire more change than a treaty.
