Tiger Woods' Putt On 6th Hole During British Open 3rd Round Halts Rough Start (VIDEO)

Tiger's Putt From Long Range To Halts Rough Start

After a slow start on moving day at the British Open, Tiger Woods needed something to snap him out of his funk before he fell too far off the lead.

He found it on the sixth green.

Over his first five holes, Woods mixed two bogeys and three pars. After missing his first fairway of the day off the tee at six, Woods didn't seem likely to turn the tide on this hole. He dropped his second shot onto the green but his ball was still 60 feet away from the cup. That didn't matter. Tiger sunk the putt from long range for his third straight birdie on hole No. 6. Perhaps that woke Woods up as the 60-foot putt was one of three birdies out of his next four holes to end the front nine. He saved par on every hole except for one bogey on the back nine to finish even on the day (6-under for the tournament).
