Time Warner's Star-Studded Super Bowl Commercial Features 'True Blood' Cast, P. Diddy

Time Warner's Star-Studded Ad Makes Big Debut

Time Warner Cable brought in a host of stars for its 2014 Super Bowl commercial.

In Time Warner's 60-second ad, Anna Paquin stars as her "True Blood" character, Sookie Stackhouse, who is guided through the "new world of Time Warner" by rapper and entrepreneur P. Diddy. Stackhouse's love Bill Compton (played by Paquin's off-screen husband, Stephen Moyer) follows behind.

Along the way, they bump into a bunch of other celebs, including Jimmy Fallon, chef Anne Burrell, the "Duck Dynasty" family and Drake.

While some might have been excited to see familiar faces, the commercial aired after viewers in Los Angeles faced an hour-long blackout.

At about 4:45 p.m. local time, Time Warner Cable tweeted it was having difficulty transmitting the feed from Fox, according to NBC LA. Southern California stations KTTV, KCAL and KTLA were all affected. The feed did not return until after 6 p.m.

The Los Angeles Times reported the glitch hindered the standard-definition feed, while the high-definition channel was unaffected. Customers across Southern California demanded a refund or a credit Monday after the blackout, KTLA reported.
