Tina Fey Talks '30 Rock,' Women In Comedy, 'D-Bag' Toddlers

Tina Fey: 'Toddlers Are Total D-Bags'

Memo to Tina Fey's in utero child: be on your best behavior.

Fey, who recently announced that she's pregnant with her second child, gave her uniquely quirky take on pregnancy and motherhood in a new interview with GQ, including talk about breast pumps and dealing with difficult kids.

On breast pumps, Fey said, "the thing's upsetting. I would try to pump milk while watching 'Entourage' on demand. And that was the worst possible way to do it. Like, I had the pump on, and I'd hear Turtle on TV: 'Yo, E, you ever f**k a girl when she has her period? I just sat there thinking: Oooh, this is not how this is meant to be.'"

Even worse? Fey gets no respect for her hard work from the beneficiary, daughter Alice. That's why she agrees with comedian Louis C.K. when he says that it's okay to curse out a kid.

"I think that any person being an a*shole deserves it," Fey said. "Especially toddlers--they're total d-bags. You gotta let them know."

On a more serious, Fey discussed a semi-controversial episode of "30 Rock" this season in which her character, Liz Lemon, hires a woman comedy writer in order to even out the staff on the show-within-a-show, "The Girly Show," only to see her plans go haywire. Lemon gets annoyed by the "sexy baby" that the writer appears to be, and when she outs her as an intelligent woman comedian, she ruins the woman's life.

Fey said that it was a response to feminist blog Jezebel's insinuation that "The Daily Show" had a woman problem and that it hired correspondent Olivia Munn because she was attractive, not because of her talent.

"I was actually really pleased that Jezebel got that it was about the whole Olivia thing, because the treatment of Olivia was weird on that site," Fey told GQ. "She just kept getting reamed! And it was this weird mix. They would go after her, and then the next thing would be like, 'Defending the Rights of Sex Workers.' And I was just like, 'Well, why can't we just say Olivia's a sex worker? Leave her alone!'"

When Munn was asked about the criticism, she had some very fierce things to say.

"I never tried to use anything besides my own sweat and blood and talent to get somewhere. I think that anyone who's out there trying to bring down why any woman would get anywhere, or why we're different, just needs to f***ing turn her f***ing computer off, take the sandwich out of her mouth and go for a god**mn walk f***ing walk. You know what? Just walk it off, b***h. Just walk it off, b***h," she told HollywoodLife.com in 2010.

Fey also talks about how she portrays Liz Lemon on "30 Rock" as ugly, a notion she disputes. Ugly or not, she won't be pregnant on the show; sources told People Magazine that filming is wrapped for this season and the timing of the pregnancy will help her avoid being pregnant in next season's episodes.
