Clean-Tech Jobs: Best Cities

Clean Edge, a research firm with a focus on the "clean technologies" industry, recently released a report this month on employment in the clean-energy sector. Clean Edge explained its take on green jobs -- which are growing twice as fast as the national rate -- this way:

We define clean-tech jobs as those that are a direct result of the development, production, and/or deployment of technologies that harness renewable materials and energy sources; reduce the use of natural resources by using them more efficiently and productively; and cut or eliminate pollution and toxic wastes. There's no mistaking the types of jobs we're talking about - they include solar photovoltaic (PV) system installers, wind-turbine technicians, energy-efficiency software developers, green building designers, and clean-energy marketers.

Drawing on job postings, investment, and patent activity data, the report identifies the top fifteen metropolitan areas for clean-tech jobs. But, what do you think?
