For Someone Who Says He Hates Making Predictions, Trump Sure Makes A Lot Of Them

This time, it's the Patriots by 8.

President Donald Trump, who is prone to speaking (and tweeting) often and contradicting himself, did it again during his pre-Super-Bowl appearance Sunday on Fox News.

In a sit-down with Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, the host pressed Trump to call whether the Atlanta Falcons or the New England Patriots would take home the Vince Lombardi trophy.

“I hate to make predictions,” Trump said coyly, before predicting an 8-point win by the Patriots.

Despite insisting he was loath to prognosticate, Trump had also done it just moments earlier in the interview.

“I think you’re gonna see tremendous job growth in this country,” the president said.

Trump has never shied away from predictions ― no matter how realistic or unlikely ― either before his candidacy or after his election. He’s predicted everything from a “massive recession” (that will end with a total wipeout of the national debt) to all of his cabinet picks winning confirmation.

Trump has accurately predicted some things ― like his own electoral college victory. But as history has shown, when Trump’s predictions miss the mark, they can miss big league
