Turkey Village Attack Kills 6, Injures 7

Six people have been killed and seven injured in a gun attack in eastern Turkey, the BBC reports.

The BBC writes that three men walked through the village of Karaali, firing shotguns at their neighbors.

Today's Zaman quotes the governor of the province as saying the motive for the attacks was unclear, but it is believed the assailants had psychological problems.

The three men, believed to be a man and his two sons, fled the scene, and investigators are interviewing their family, according to Today's Zaman.

In a separate assault in early May in the southeast of the country, 45 people attending a wedding ceremony were killed by masked assailants wielding guns and grenades.
