Turnout "Hurricane" In St. Louis, Missouri

USA Today reports:

"It's unbelievable," Robert Ware, a monitor with the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners, says about turnout in his area. "The past election was a trade wind blowing. This feels like a hurricane."

Ware, 63, talked to USA TODAY's Rick Jervis. By 10 a.m. CT today, Ware had been able to pay single visits to six polling places. In the same amount of time four years ago, he had visited six polling places three times. But the large turnout Tuesday slowed his job considerably. There were more people lining up to vote Tuesday than in the 2000 and 2004 races combined, Ware said.
