Well, holiday time is officially here and that means it's time for one of my favorite annual events: the Union Square Holiday Market. In its 19th year, the union square holiday market is in full swing running from November 16th through December 24th. Approximately 150 merchants with an array of fun gifts. This is a wonderful place to do your holiday shopping. There are wonderful and yummy surprises to have some nibbles as you explore. Unique and yummy pretzels, waffles and dinges, hot apple cider and union market's newest addition: Toby's estate coffee. Toby's will serve a range of espresso and filtered coffees, using high altitude arabica coffees from around the world, with origins including Columbia, Kenya, Guatemala and Brazil. If you are in a rush, start off by visiting the the information booth so you can get the lay of the land. Some of the things you will find are hand-blown glass housewares; a variety of handmade jewelry; handmade leather belts; beautiful scarves, gloves and hats; Tibetan crafts accessories and bags made from recycled plastic children's mittens

They have also formed a partnership with the iPhone app seamless. Another new iPhone app called will offer visitors an interactive map of the market, vendor profiles, discounts, deals and event calendars.

The hours are:

Monday-Friday 11-8 p.m.
Saturday 10-8 p.m.
Sunday11-7 p.m.
Monday December 24th closes at 4 p.m.

You can't miss the red and white tents when you arrive at union square. This year's market is rumored to be the best one yet. I would love to hear about your favorite vendor or experience, if you have already been.
