Hardware Containers
Pill bottles are the perfect size to store nails, screws, bolts, washers and other things you would keep in your tool box or junk drawer. It will make it a lot easier to find what you are looking for.

Water-Resistant Survival Kit
If anyone in your family likes camping (or is paranoid about the world ending in 2012), they can make a pocket-sized emergency survival kit. Instructables has a list of everything you would need to survive any emergency, from matches to aspirin...and much more.

Sewing Kit
Whether you're traveling or just prone to wardrobe malfunctions at work, turn a pill bottle into a sewing kit. Simply thread a few needles (in multiple colors), then place into the empty bottle along with some extra buttons.

Picnic Condiment Containers
Going on a picnic? Sometimes you just don't want to bring the whole bottle of ketchup or mustard out with you. No problem. You can transfer some of the condiments into the pill bottle, and just bring the smaller container with you. When your done, you can recycle the container. [Note: Remember to sanitize the bottle prior to food use.]

Coin Holder
I don't carry a purse; I proudly carry the male equivalent -- the messenger bag. I wind up dumping change in it all the time, but can never find the right coin when I'm at Starbucks. What I do now is keep all my spare change in a pill bottle. It keeps it conveniently together when I need exact change or have to feed the parking meter.

These are just some of the uses for pill bottles. What are some creative or odd uses you have for pill bottles? I'm sure you have some!
