Vermont Election 2012: President Looks Set To Defeat Mitt Romney (LIVE UPDATES)

Obama Looks Set To Win In Vermont Election

What Obama Has To Do To Beat Mitt Romney

Obama is expected to win 3 electoral votes over Mitt Romney in the Vermont election on Tuesday.

Election Day in the blue-leaning state will be a tame affair, save for the down-ticket races, where close fought contests should bring Vermonsters to the polls.

Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin, a Democrat, is expected to win against Republican challenger Randy Brock. Senator Bernie Sanders, an independent, looks poised to defeat John MacGovern.

Vermont polls may open as early as 5:00 a.m. and no later than 10:00 a.m., as declared by the Vermont Board of Civil Authority.
