NFL Team's Bus Involved In Accident En Route To Stadium

No football team's pre-game ritual intentionally involves traffic accidents.

Fortunately for Washington, whose team buses were involved in a collision this morning en route to their game against the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis, the team's players, coaches and staff are all ok.

From the looks of this picture, tweeted by Washington wide receiver Pierre Garçon, it was more than just a fender-bender:

NBC Washington reporter Dianna Russini says the accident occurred after the team's police escort initially missed the exit, then swerved to try and make the exit anyway. The first bus avoided the escort, but was hit from behind by the second bus.

Russini believes the police escort may have taken the majority of the hit, but the officer's condition wasn't immediately known.

Washington players, meanwhile, appear to have bounced back, with several joking about the accident on social media:
