Mike does an excellent job breaking it down and then in the end, he explains that this question cannot be answered.
Nobody knows your: work ethic, money blocks, willingness to follow your passion, openness to learning, studying and practicing blogging, willingness to spend money on a domain and hosting, premium theme and products or services, or one of 10,000 other factors which determine whether or not you earn a full time income through blogging, and when you earn it.
I earned some coin in fits and starts. For years.
I eventually earned a steady income and things have been increasing on the money side of things but only because I committed 100% to facing my money fears, feeling my money fears, detaching some from my money-drivers with blogging and giving most of my attention and energy to serving people with love, for fun, through my blog.
There are countless factors that go into the money making equation as a blogger. Most of all, your resistance, or lack thereof, to money.
You can do everything right, blogging-wise, but back all these actions with a fear-based, lower energy, and your blogging profits will never arrive. Or if you earned some sweet coin, those blogging profits will go to custard. No way around that.
At the end of the day, your willingness to learn blogging, to practice blogging, and to serve other people, along with your money mindset/energy work, are the core factors which determine when you begin earning dough steadily through your blog.
The Ballpark Time Frame
No specific time frame exists - of course - but think in terms of years, not weeks or months, when dwelling on a time frame for making money through your blog. Most bloggers want to make money through their blog but do not want to give value. More bloggers resist following sound, proven advice from day 1. A high number of bloggers blog in fits and starts, publishing a few posts then allowing life circumstances to dominate them, backburnering their blog for the day to day stuff that besieges a shocking majority of bloggers.
These folks add weeks, then months, then years to their blogging learning curve each day, then week, then month, that passes without any work spent on their blog.
Blogging Is a Skill
Blogging is a skill.
Like any skill, it takes years to develop the skill to the point of becoming a professional in that area. Pro athletes get paid after practicing the right skills for years. Entrepreneurs cash in after practicing the right skills for years. Bloggers get paid for practicing the right skills for years.
How do you develop the right skills to earn blogging profits? You need to make money online the right way.

Work on your mindset. Dissolve any lack of clarity - manifesting as doubt - as to when you will earn money through your blog. The fact that you ask the question shows that you are still dominated by doubt, because nobody asks this question from a blase, totally detached, “just kinda curious” type energy.
Blog your passion. Solve a pressing problem in the niche you feel passionate about. Learn blogging from 1-2 pros. Practice blogging. Create and connect. Be generous, be more generous and then be even more generous, helping people for free to develop your presence online, to establish your expertise and to send off an abundant vibe that will boost your blogging income over the long haul.
As my friend Donna Merrill always says, if you persistently serve people and have fun with the process, the money will flow in at the right time, just when you need it.
