'White Collar' Finale: Neal Finds The Truth, Loses Everything

All kinds of craziness went down in the "White Collar" season finale, and it left Neal rocked to the very core. After weeks of searching, he finally tracked down that evidence box he was intent on using to clear his father's name. Only that box would do nothing of the sort. Instead, it confirmed that Peter had actually killed his supervising officer moments before his partner arrested him.

Neal was so certain that the crooked Senator Pratt had set up his father, but it wasn't the case. There was a face-off between James and Pratt, though, that showed James' true colors. When Pratt threatened James and held a gun on him, James coldly shot Pratt and fled the scene. In doing so, he left Peter on the hook for the murder.

James headed back to Neal's place for the evidence where he discovered that Peter had been arrested for Pratt's murder. Neal gave his father one last chance to do the right thing. Instead, James told him, "Let me give you some advice. In this life, somebody always takes the fall. Don’t let it be you."

Rather than own up to what he did and face the consequences, James fled and left Peter to take the blame. TV Guide found James' exit line "demoralizing" and was stunned by the developments. Buddy TV couldn't believe Neal lost two father figures in one move. James is in the wind and Peter is behind bars.

Fans will have to wait until the Season 5 premiere to find out how Peter can possibly get out of this one.
