Michelle Obama Political Future? 'I Think She Will Run,' Says Lanny Davis (VIDEO)

'I Think She Will Run'

Michelle Obama's recent media blitz — incorporating everything from her fight against obesity to her appearance at the Oscars to her dance-off with Jimmy Fallon — has some wondering what might be in store for the First Lady when she had President Obama leave the White House. HuffPost Live's Abby Huntsman hosted a discussion Wednesday about the First Lady, and whether she might one day make a run for office of her own.

"I think she will run for something because I think she is just too capable, and now a public figure and interested in public policy," Lanny Davis, founder of Purple Nation Solutions, told Huffpost Live. Davis, a longtime Clinton insider whose friendship with Hillary Clinton dates back to Yale Law School, speculated that Obama would call Clinton to ask about her transition from First Lady to political candidate. "I think the temptation will be great, the public service pressure will be great, and I think her husband will say go for it."
