Young Scrilla, Miami Rapper, Injured In Overtown Drive-By (VIDEO)

Music Video Shoot Interrupted By Drive-By

A drive-by shooting in Overtown Saturday night interrupted a music video shoot and sent one aspiring rapper to the hospital, WSVN reports.

André Scott, 29, who performs under the name Young Scrilla, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center. Watch the video above.

The Miami Herald reports that the drive-by occurred at 19th Street between Northwest Second and Third Avenues at around 7 p.m.

In August, Young Scrilla hosted Rick Ross's official release party at the King of Diamonds strip club, according to Miami New Times.

Young Scrilla's mother told Local 10 that she believes the two drive-bys are related, adding 'some get jealous.'

"I want people to know that my son is a good kid," Quantriel Scott told WSVN. "He's a loving child, he's very respectful, and if anyone is out here trying to hurt my son, I don't think they have a right to. They don't have no reason to because he don't bother nobody."

Young Scrilla is signed with TruStory Entertainment, who tweeted out photos of an Overtown video shoot just an hour and half before the shooting:

In this tweeted photo, a man resembling Young Scrilla can be seen on the far right of the crowd.

There were two other victims, still unidentified, injured in the drive-by.
