A compulsive traveller, German photographer Gotz Goppert explores the world at large and the world of those close to him with one aim in mind: to be caught unawares by beauty and the unusual. He began shooting landscapes 10 years ago after discovering the natural beauty of the Scottish Highlands. What he brings back from his trips are breathtaking panoramic images.

The inspiration for Goppert's series "The Four Seasons" came from driving through Paris, mostly very early in the morning to catch the soft light and atmosphere of dawn in the city.

"The winter photographs were helped by unusually heavy snow in the French capital - a rare occurrence. Conversely, the summer shot was hampered by unseasonably bad weather and lots of rain."
~~ Gotz Goppert

Gotz Goppert lives and works in Paris. He is now working on panoramic projects - both personal and commissioned - all over the world. The Four Seasons is currently on view at the Maison Europeene de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris.
