Hi Mom, How Are You?

Since Mother's Day, I have really missed my mother, who passed away in 2009. For those of you who still have your mother, take advantage of every day of your blessing. When your mother is gone, it will leave a hole that can't be filled. So, call her today. It will only take a few minutes. Tell her you love her.

In the future, you will regret the days you did not make the call.

Almost every day, my mother would call me and read my "horrible scope," as she called it. She was convinced she could predict my day by reading it. Sometimes, she would miss a day, and the next day she would call and claim she knew what I did yesterday.

I don't know how it works, but those little paragraphs are a consistent predictor of my life for the day and it's never wrong and its always much too specific. Its like the writer is following me around all day in my head.

When I got a spam horoscope today, it was so much on target that I thought of those morning phone calls from my mother. When it predicted a bad day, she would be supportive. When it predicted unusually good things, she would urge me to use caution. When I got this one, It was almost like mom had read it to me and wow, was it so on target...

Son, sometimes you just feel deflated, You simply want to hide under a rock. That is only natural. The trick today is to make sure that you get out from under the rock. There is so much out there that you need to experience. Today! Right now! you are having a hard time getting started, remember that your day can only get better!

Like always mom, I will try, but I sure wish I could talk to you about it.
