As your company scales, your time becomes more and more valuable. The last thing you want to be spending time worrying about is completing tedious administrative tasks.

That's why many successful companies have some sort of human resources software in place. Using the right software will save you time and headaches in the workplace.

From tracking employee benefits to filing employee taxes, HR software automates all of those tedious little tasks that you've never wanted to think about.

There are many different options on the market, so it is important to know your way around and choose the right one. Here are some of the most popular:

1. GoCo

GoCo has established itself as the all-in-one HR solution that will work flawlessly with your existing Payroll. Their system covers not only core HR from onboarding to offboarding, but also benefits, compliance, performance management. We were especially impressed by their employee onboarding which is also completely paperless and highly customizable. In a simple, yet streamlined interface, they have automated the entire process of collecting paperwork, dealing with compliance, and managing employee benefits.

The GoCo dashboard lets you manage everything you need to know about your company in one place so that you are never more than a few clicks away from finding the information you need. Their software is sure to fit every business budget as it's offered at no cost while they source their revenues by optionally offering you to manage your company's health benefits. If excel documents and file cabinets is what you refer to as your current "HR System," this would be a great place to start.

Gusto, formerly known as ZenPayroll, made their name by offering a modern payroll to small companies. More recently, they expanded to offer their payroll customers an intuitive user interface for managing human resources that will allow you to automate payroll, benefits, and manage tax payments.

If you are unhappy with your current payroll and want a more modern payroll that will also integrate well into your cloud accounting sotware, their solution may be a good fit for your company and they are trusted by over tens of thousands of businesses..

Namely finds its niche in midsize organizations with the time and money to implement a more heavy duty hr system. Once you do get the system, it's highly configurable.
You can pretty much make the software do whatever you want for your hr team so that it integrates with any existing or future system you may have. They've thrown on an aesthetically pleasing skin over their software that makes the whole experience clean and intuitive.

Zenefits is an HR software and Management system that helps thousands of small to midsize businesses organize payroll, benefits, and HR for their employees. While they had a lot of recent "bumps in the road" to deal with, the company is under new management and seems to be rebuilding it's name.

The system is designed to support your company from just two people to 2,000, with all the tools and services that you need to run a successful HR department. Another great perk is that they offer a mobile app that makes it super convenient to check on how things are going.

Bamboo HR is one of the more "veteran" players in the bunch. Their web-based platform runs in modules, so that you can add on any integrations you many need. Bamboo HR will help you keep track of employees, and manage every interaction so that you never again have to think about emailing the right paperwork to the right new hire.

The system is very configurable, though be prepared to invest some time setting it up.. While on the higher end of the price spectrum, Bamboo HR is still a great option for companies and entrepreneurs looking to cut down on administrative tasks.
