Bipartisan Proaction for Jobs, Revenues and Prosperity
With control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate it is now incumbent upon the Republican party in conjunction with the President and the Democratic Minority Leaders of Congress to formulate, propose and enact a bipartisan policy agenda with specific pragmatic proposals that address the most important issues facing the nation. The public is fed up with congressional dysfunction, petty politics, obstructionism, and a government by and for special and personal interests. Whichever party wins the competition to make the public interests their interests and create jobs, economic opportunity, social stability, fiscal sanity, affordable universal health care and livable Social Security, and general prosperity, will have a lasting future. That should be the political rivalry and contest.
Respectfully resubmitted for your consideration are 12 proposals that offer specific, pragmatic, low cost, bipartisan solutions to some of the underlying issues facing our Country:
1. Roadmap for recovery and prosperity
2. Reindustrialization (for full employment, trade rebalancing, and debt reduction);
3. Selective credit stimulation
4. Real tax reform
5. A high tech export-free zone ;light industrial job development program for major U.S. urban centers which contain over 70 percent of U.S. population. (The EFPZ proposal incorporates education, high tech, and apprenticeship training partnerships between industry and our educational systems, incentives for hi-tech R&D, and a low tech domestic insourcing program to save U.S. jobs. It would provide decent jobs, relevant skill training, quality education, the retention and expansion of our industrial base -- particularly in the many areas of high technology where we excel and are most competitive -- generate the federal and state revenues essential for economic recovery, debt reduction, elimination of poverty, fiscal and social stability, and prosperity; and have a great multiplier effect on the service and supplier sectors);
6. Affordable universal health care and livable social security systems to save our cities and states and make our business competitive in the global economy;
7. Free public and affordable private college via an insignificant transfer tax of a fraction of one percent on all securities and derivates transfers (This could also help pay for universal health care and livable social security);
8. Campaign reform
9. Affordable inner-city housing
