We all love getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the glitz and glam of celebrity homes. Excerpted from my blog Habitat For Hermanity:

Many of you loyal Hermanity peeps may recall an episode of Celebrity Real Estate Wrap almost one year ago when I vlogged about everyone's favorite 80's sitcom dad Alan Thicke. The Growing Pains star's mansion in L.A.'s Toluca Lake district was having difficulty selling at $4.8M. Robin Thicke's dad experimented with making it a rental too at one point. Well, after 2 long years, it has finally sold for $3,525,000. Talk about a growing pain! If you ask me (and I know you didn't but I don't care), Alan could have fetched closer to asking price with some updating. Don't get me wrong because I love the '80's as much as the next gal, but that blue hot tub with flamingo, earth toned stone wall, the wide square kitchen counter tiles and cabinet hardware all betray a dated 1980's aesthetic beneath the updates. Nevertheless, a sale is a sale. Congrats are in order to Alan!

Jason Seaver, er Alan rather, joins Jennifer Love Hewitt & Hilary Duff as celebs who have exited Toluca Lake in 2012. They leave behind neighbors Miley Cyrus, Henry Winkler & Erin Daniels. Why the mass exodus?

Click through the slideshow to see Thicke's former home, and head to Habitat For Hermanity for more real estate news, tip and tricks.
