In the latest installment of Chicken Soup For The Soul moment we bring you the creative and heroic Matt Miner. Matt is a comic book creator, and animal activist from Rockaway, NY. He and his wife are dedicated animal rescuers who are fiercely passionate about giving abused dogs and cats a loving home.

After helping rescue dogs in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Matt had the idea to use his passion for comics as a way to help his passion for rescues. Within the pages of "Liberator," masked vigilantes save battered and abandoned animals, not unlike what Matt and his wife do. All proceeds from the comic book go right into their rescue work, as if the characters Matt creates really are saving animals in real life.
