Arianna On 'This Week': Artificial Crisis Distracting From Real Problems

Arianna appeared on "This Week" on Sunday to discuss the jobs crisis and how the debt ceiling is an "artificial crisis" that's distracting Washington from the real issue. Arianna noted that "one more percent of growth would actually do more in solving our deficit crisis than any cuts in entitlements. There is no growth strategy."

On the debt ceiling, she argued that "it's a crisis because they made it into a crisis, it's not a real one. We have many real crises on our hands -- a jobs crisis, a growth crisis, we have a debt crisis, a human capital crisis, we have an infrastructure crisis, and we're not handling these now because we have a completely artificial crisis."

Highlighting that Larry Summers recently admitted that unemployment is that nation's biggest concern, Arianna asked, "Why is it that someone has to leave office to say anything smart?"

Later in the segment, the roundtable got around to discussing the 2012 field, and whether or not Michelle Bachmann's migraines are an issue. Arianna and George Will agreed that they were not. Watch the clip for more on the 2012 presidential election.
