This is my last post as Senior Economist of the Coalition for a Prosperous America.

After two years with this organization, I will be leaving to return to private industry.

Prior to working for CPA, I was with the U.S. Business & Industry Council for two years, and was an economist in private practice before that.

I continue to support CPA's efforts to reform America's trade and industrial policies. I believe America's trade deficit is its single biggest unsung economic problem -- a $500 billion a year hole in our economy that hurts us in both the short and the long term.

I would like to thank everyone involved in CPA for the opportunities they have given me, and especially for publishing my book Free Trade Doesn't Work.

The cause of trade reform remain urgent, free trade remains a racket and a lie, but I shall have to leave this work to others.
