NY State Leads Nation in Open Job Growth, the large job board, released its August numbers and some interesting stats popped out:

- NY State gained more than any other state in the number of jobs offered. What is driving this trend?

- Year-over-year growth for the nation was 12%. This pretty respectible for an economy moving sideways at best.

-- Manufacturing was down again as was transportation and recreation jobs.

-- Healthcare continues to grow - in particular technician and assistant jobs as well as homecare.

-- Delaware and CT topped the board with per capital jobs available -- hello Wilmington and Westport!
